Program Coordinator

Location: Reston, VA

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with the Director of Operations daily to provide an update on Center status and activities.
Report any incidents or issues to the Director of Operations as soon as possible and document all incidents using the Incident Report log
Work with the Senior Management Team, staff members, volunteers, and participants to promote an uplifting and positive workplace culture
Provide team leadership and support to staff and supervise staff to maintain the functionality of the program
Ensure coverage for the opening and closing of the Center and verify that groups, program activities, and services are being conducted as scheduled
Maintain confidentiality of individuals according to company policies
Ensure documentation for monthly reports are accurately collected and entered into the database
Solicit feedback from guests to enhance the program and report recommendations/suggestions in writing to the Senior Management Team
Follow State Mandated Reporting and RPSV Code of Ethics
Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

DBHDS 72-Hour PRS Training
Lived experience with psychiatric and/or substance use disorder diagnoses, strong emotional distress and/or trauma
Experience of at least two or more years in management/supervision of staff
One year of hands-on experience in a non-profit social setting preferably working with individuals with mental health and substance use issues
Must have computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to access transportation regularly

Certificates and Licenses Required:

Completion of Bachelors’ Degree or appropriate education at a level necessary to accomplish the job
Must be or will become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist within nine months of hire date
Driver’s License with five or fewer Demerit Points
