Are you looking for a satisfying work opportunity to help uplift adults with mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness issues in your community? Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia (RPSV) is currently searching for a part-time Program Coordinator in Merrifield, Virginia. The Program Coordinator is supervised by the Senior Management Team and manages their assigned Center. This position is 32 hours a week.

RPSV provides key programs and services to help facilitate recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. RPSV operates five program sites in the Northern Virginia area and supports ~9,000 individuals annually.

RPSV uses a unique peer-based model approach to recovery. As such, individuals who have faced these issues personally and have recovered from them staff our centers. At RPSV, “we are those we serve”. Through this model, program participants recover faster because of the empathetic, inspirational environment at our centers. Our ideal Program Coordinator will have their own lived experience in these areas and is in recovery as well.

Other key attributes for the candidate in this role include:

-empathy for those facing mental health, substance use, and homelessness issues

-highly organized

-has two or more years of management experience

-has strong computer skills

-is outgoing and supportive

-has great communication skills

-is comfortable with community outreach

-has a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience to complete the duties of the job

-is or will become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist within nine months of hire date

-has a Driver’s License in good standing

***For this position, it is critical that the team member is very communicative and shares information with senior management in a timely manner. Open communication is critical in this direct, hands-on, fast-paced human services environment.
